BIA Acquisition
On 1 July 2005, Phil Stoddart, Managing Director of Castech, formed a partnership with Jill Werner, formerly of Hensley Industries Australia, and purchased the business of Beverley Industries Australia, now commonly known as BIA.
BIA is a long-established iron foundry, located at Ottoway in South Australia. With the increase in orders at Castech and our ongoing commitment to customers’ requirements, this takeover creates a natural synergy between the two foundries. Castech concentrates on smaller castings and shorter production runs, while BIA produces the larger castings in iron and steel, and uses its automated moulding equipment to satisfy the need for larger quantities of smaller castings.
The dynamic partnership between the new owners of BIA ensures that the foundry industry in SA will thrive and prosper for many years to come.
