Castech uses the latest foundry technology and, by staff attendance at industry seminars and conferences, we ensure that we keep up to date. This means that when you deal with the Castech foundry, your castings will be competitively priced, accurately made and of the highest quality.

Casting Simulation

Traditionally, the design of castings has been more of an art than a science, so some foundries waste a lot of materials, time and money making prototypes that are ultimately unsuitable. Not Castech! By using computerised casting solidification simulation technology to design your components, we get your casting right first time and, just as important, keep it repeatable. This modern method gives you improved quality, less scrap, shorter lead times and reduced costs.

Quality Assurance

Castech operates a Quality Management System (Certificate no. 6145) that covers every aspect of the business and production and is certified to comply with Australian Quality System Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000. Our team operates in an environment of continual improvement, using a process model that focuses on customer requirements and satisfaction. In other words, you come first, and everything we do is aimed at meeting or exceeding your expectations. We aim to supply all your castings in conformity with agreed specified requirements and we will use the appropriate standard for cast metal, unless otherwise requested.

All Castech employees have a duty to understand and implement our quality management procedures and processes, and to accept responsibility for their own quality performance.

Metal Analysis

Using a state-of-the-art Spectrolab M5 spectrometer, we analyse every heat to ensure metal specifications are met. We service and calibrate the unit regularly and keep scrupulous records to maintain control of metal quality.

Testing

Castech uses the services of NATA-endorsed (National Association of Testing Authorities) laboratories to carry out the specific tests you want performed on your castings, including:

• ultrasonic
• analysis
• hardness.
